I have heard that this is a contender for the world's steepest street. It's one of the hills in the famous "Dirty Dozen" bike race which takes place here every November. I was too much of a wimp to try it this year. Maybe next time?

Great Vid - but the world's steepest street is said to be 5 mins from my house in Dunedin!

yeah except that citation says the one in da Burgh is steeper....so "our hill's steeper than your hill"....and we've got loooooaaaads! And...we ride bikes up ours (well....I didn't......but I might)!
The citation also point out yours is only steep for a tiny bit, while ours is steep all the way - Go NZ!!!
